I was so excited when I received the Rimmel London Voxbix from Influenster! I had actually been wanting to get back into colored liners. I received the Wonder Ombré Hologorahpic Effect Eyeliner in Golden Gaze as well as the Scandaleyes Curve Alert mascara. I was actually really impressed with the pigmentation of the dual ended liner. I definitely wouldn’t describe it as holographic but it is very sparkly. Both ends were very creamy and glided on effortlessly. I just wish that the black pencil side was more opaque and not glittery. Unfortunately, i was quite dissapointed with the mascara. The brush is way too thick and the curl it provided lasted but a minute. The formula could have been thicker and more pigmented as well.

but what are some sundown towns do y’all know of? like if someone were to do a cross-country trip, what are some towns they should absolutely not go through?

Small towns in south ga and noth fla

Ga: Jonesboro, tifton, Albany, valdosta, Macon

Fla: Gainesville, Perry, Madison, Marianna, Quincy, Jefferson county, hell I wouldn’t stop in Tallahassee either

Texas: Vidor, Orange, Deep Santa Fe

Texas: Jasper & Lumberton

I’m from Albany and recently the police beat up a young brother for no reason. They were attempting to say he had drugs but he of course had nothing.

If you go to Stone Mountain and find yourself on the trails close to night leave because they still have active Klan rallys up there

I was driving through north Florida during the day and I felt uncomfortable

The Negro Motorist Green Book was guide for black folk traveling in the 60s. It’s gives a breakdown of sundown towns. 50 years later, I’m sure it’s still relevant.

I feel like the Deep South is just a gamble.

Ohio…just in general

not to be controversial but the reason they wont pass a law saying that people with a history of domestic violence arent legally allowed to purchase a gun is bc half of the police force would no longer be legally allowed to hold their jobs.

this ain’t tea this is hennessy

based on reporting, 10% of families in the general population endure domestic violence.

in contrast, 40% of police officer families endure domestic violence. again, this is based on reporting, so the number is likely HIGHER.

escaping abusive partners in law enforcement is made particularly difficult for these victims, because police officers

  • are armed
  • know the otherwise confidential locations of domestic abuse shelters
  • are able to game the system in order to avoid punishment
  • are often friends with the very officers who would be called to assist in a domestic situation
  • and can sometimes redirect blame onto the victims—one of my coworkers knows someone whose spouse was a cop who got her arrested for kidnapping when she fled with her children.
